What to Watch This Week
Not a lot of great choices for the next seven days. Though I was not crazy for its first entry, Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead looks to be a huge improvement, with its hand possession, use of a WWII tank, and a finale where the Nazi zombie army faces off against an Allies zombie army. After seeing that, wait until Wednesday and check out the commercially unloved Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
New Streaming Titles I Previously Forgot to Mention
The very questionable and gimmicky multimedia movie App; Joan Allen doesn't trust husband Anthony LaPaglia in Stephen King's A Good Marriage; an odd horror remake of cult classic The Town That Dreaded Sundown; the timely released doc And the Oscar Goes To...; 2014 disasterpiece Field of Lost Shoes; the depressing drama that gave Nicolas Cage an Oscar, Leaving Las Vegas; the return of the demented horror masterpiece Re-Animator; the ultimate good bad movie Showgirls; joy at the sight of Vanilla Ice and do the "Ninja Rap" with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze; and the stone cold court drama The Verdict.
